Let’s Finish Strong—Join Us This Weekend & Vote Tuesday!

Next Tuesday, Annapolis voters will head to the polls to decide the future of our city. I’m writing to ask for your support, your vote, and your help in these final days as we work together to keep building a stronger, more sustainable Annapolis.

Canvassing Rally This Saturday This Saturday at 9:15 a.m., we’ll gather at the corner of West Street and Amos Garrett Boulevard to kick off a day of canvassing. I’m honored that Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks will be joining us to rally our team. Your presence—whether knocking on doors, talking with neighbors, or simply showing up—will make a real difference.

What We’ve Accomplished Together Over the past two terms, we’ve delivered meaningful progress for Ward 7 and the entire city:

  • Stronger Transit-Oriented Development requirements—the most robust in Maryland—to ensure growth comes with real investments in transit and community benefits.
  • Pedestrian safety and multimodal planning—expanding safe routes for walking and biking while pushing for smarter, people-centered streets.
  • Short-Term Rental reform—establishing a 10% cap per blockface and prioritizing local residents, protecting our neighborhoods and housing stock.
  • Transforming Ward 7—shepherding major improvements including the premier accessible boating center in the U.S. (CRAB—Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating), a reinvigorated Ellen Moyer Back Creek Park in partnership with the Annapolis Maritime Museum, and the preservation of Carrs-Elktonia Beach as our city’s first park providing direct public access to the Chesapeake Bay.
  • Environmental leadership—passing the strongest Forest Conservation and Critical Area laws in Maryland, strengthening stormwater and sediment control laws, expanding enforcement staff, banning gas-powered leaf blowers, and securing a No Discharge Zone to protect our waterways.

These victories are not mine alone—they are ours, achieved through your engagement, advocacy, and persistence.

Looking Ahead To continue this progress, we need strong leadership at every level of city government. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Jared Littmann for Mayor of Annapolis. Jared shares our commitment to sustainable growth, transparent government, and community-driven solutions. You can learn more about his vision at https://www.jaredforannapolis.com/.

A Personal Note and Appeal I also want to share something personal: I was out of commission for much of September due to a major loss in my family. That time away not only kept me from being out in the community, it also prevented us from holding another fundraiser. As a result, our campaign is in real need of resources to finish strong. If you’re able, a donation of any size would be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward voter outreach in these critical last days.

How You Can Help

  • Join us Saturday morning to canvass with our community and special guests.
  • Help with phone banking—If you’d like to make calls to neighbors and voters, we’d love your help this weekend or on Election Day. Please get in touch with me directly to sign up and we’ll provide everything you need.
  • Spread the word to friends and neighbors about the importance of voting.
  • Show your support with a yard sign—If you’d like one for your home, let me know and I’ll make sure you get it. Every sign helps spread the word and build momentum in these final days.
  • Most importantly, cast your ballot on Tuesday, November 4th, and encourage others to do the same. Our polling place is at the Eastport-Annapolis Neck library on Hillsmere Drive.

Together, we’ve proven that when Annapolitans organize, we can set the standard for sustainable, equitable growth in Maryland. Let’s finish strong and keep this momentum going.

With gratitude and determination,
