Annapolis hearing on Paris Agreement (climate change)
The City Council will be hearing public testimony on a resolution in support of the Paris Agreement (dealing with climate change), tomorrow night at 7pm. You can view the agenda here. And you can view the Resolution (R-22-17) at this link. It currently has 5-sponsors, so will likely pass, but I do feel it needs some additional improvements. I hope you will consider coming to testify in support. Climate change is a very real and imminent threat to the City.
Kudos on Purchase of Parkside Preserves Forest

Savidge for Annapolis - Campaign update 5/24
I wanted to start by reminding everyone that our Happy Hour Fundraiser is tomorrow (Thursday), May 25th, from 5-8 pm at Caliente Grill. I don't know about you, but I am really looking forward to a margarita and some delicious Latin cuisine at the end of a long week. Please RSVP as soon as possible, either by purchasing a ticket (remember, kids are free) at www.robsavidge.com/calendar or emailing [email protected] if you plan to buy tickets at the door. It will be really helpful to Roxana at Caliente Grill to know ahead of time how many people to expect, so please be sure to let us know. Also, we would really appreciate it if you could spread the word. Invite friends via facebook by going to the event page , hovering over the 'Share' tab, and inviting friends and sharing on your page to let everyone know. In addition, feel free to email a link to the event website: http://www.robsavidge.com/calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!Read more

We did it! The "no net loss of forests" bill passes the City Council.
We did it!! Monday night the City Council passed the "no net loss of trees" ordinance! Thank you, everyone, who came out last night! We were able to head off any effort to delay and secured the necessary votes for passage. Our current Alderman, Ian Pfeiffer, supported this bill and his vote last night was crucial to ensuring its success. Please take a moment to email or call Alderman Pfeiffer and thank him for his support.Read more
Immediate action needed to protect our forests & quality of life
Your attendance is needed at Monday night's City Council meeting. We are on the verge of strengthening our forest laws (and protecting your quality of life) by instituting a "no net loss of forest" policy. But developers are making a last-ditch attempt to sabotage this ordinance, and the Council needs to hear from you.Read more
